(Job 38 through 42:2) God is questioning Job

"Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if
you understand.
{5} Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who
stretched a measuring line across it?
{6}
On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone
Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth?
{33} Do you know the laws of the heavens?
{27} Does
the eagle soar at your command and build his nest on high?
{Job
42:1-2} Then Job replied to the
LORD: {2} "I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can
be thwarted.
(Gen 1:3 NIV) And God said, "Let there be
light," and there was light.
(Gen 1:6 NIV) And God said, "Let there be an expanse
between the waters to separate water from water."
(Gen 1:9 NIV) And God said, "Let the water under the
sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.
(Gen 1:11 NIV) Then God said, "Let the land produce
vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed
in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so.
(Gen 1:14-15 NIV) And God said, "Let there be lights in
the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve
as signs to mark seasons and days and years, {15} and let them be lights in the
expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.
(Gen 1:20 NIV) And God said, "Let the water teem with
living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the
sky."
(Gen 1:24 NIV) And God said, "Let the land produce
living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along
the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.
(Gen 1:26 NIV) Then God said, "Let us make man in our
image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the
birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the
creatures that move along the ground."

Imagine either a universe without
an end or a universe with an end.
(Eccl 3:11 NIV) He has made everything beautiful in its
time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom
what God has done from beginning to end.
Mind my own business.
Keep my temper under control.

Love my enemy.
Love my neighbor as myself.
Consistently make good choices.
(Mark 10:27 NIV) Jesus looked at them and said, "With
man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."

with men is possible with God."

unbelieving generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with

(Phil 4:12-13 NIV) I know
what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned
the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or
hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. {13} I can do everything
through him who gives me strength.
(Mat 17:18-20 NIV) Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of
the boy, and he was healed from that moment. {19} Then the disciples came to
Jesus in private and asked, "Why couldn't we drive it out?" {20} He
replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you
have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from
here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
(Mark 9:38-40 NIV) "Teacher," said John, "we
saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because
he was not one of us." {39} "Do not stop him," Jesus said.
"No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything
bad about me, {40} for whoever is not against us is for us.
(Acts 3:6-8 NIV) Then Peter
said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the
name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." {7} Taking him by the right hand,
he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong. {8} He
jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the
temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.
(Acts 9:40 NIV) Peter sent them all out of the room; then he
got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said,
"Tabitha, get up." She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up.
(John 14:12-14 NIV) I tell you the truth, anyone who has
faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than
these, because I am going to the Father. {13} And I will do whatever you ask in
my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. {14} You may ask me for
anything in my name, and I will do it.

Stop worrying
Overcome sorrow
Cast out doubt
Quit gossiping
Learn not to fear anything, except God
Replace bad habits with good habits
Refrain from courting temptation
(Rom 8:31 NIV) What, then, shall we say in response to
this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Next
time you find yourself saying or thinking, “I can’t” stop and remember this, “I
can because He can.”
Then get down on your knees and let
Him, God, help you up!
